Andre Ayew has left Swansea City after the club missed out on Premier League promotion in the recently ended season.
The south Wales club announced the Ghana captain’s contract won’t be renewed when it expires on July 1.
It is unknown where he is headed but reports suggest Ayew is a target for top-flight clubs in Europe.
Ayew was determined to lead Swansea back to the Premier League following his return from loan in Turkey with Fenerbahce.
He delivered top performances, but unfortunately, Swansea failed at the play-off stage on two occasions.
In the season just completed, Ayew led them to the final scoring 17 goals. Before that, Ayew’s 15 goals propelled the club to the semi-final in the 2019-20 season.
Ayew actually signed twice for Swansea; once on a free transfer in 2015 and again in 2018 for a sum of £18million.
Between those two spells he joined West Ham for a fee of £20.5million. He leaves Swansea for a second time with a record of 35 goals in 106 games.
Swansea have paid tribute to the Ghanaian on their Twitter page.
