The Global Mission and Resource Center through its CEO Rev. Emmanuel K. Mustapha in collaboration with Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama, Member of Parliament for the Yendi Constituency, held a fund raising programme at the Kempinski Gold Coast Hotel on the 21st February, 2021.
The programme was graced with very high profiles from both public and private sectors including, Alhaji Farouk Aliu Mahama (MP) for Yendi, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Alhaji Fawaz, who chaired the programme, Minister of Information designate, Hon. Kojo Oppong Nkrumah, H. E Sullivan S. Johnson, the USA Ambassador, development partners from the United States, Mission:318 and many more other very important personalities.
Speaking at the programme, Rev. Emmanuel K. Mustapha revealed that, the decision which informed his vision to see to the executing of the project collaboratively with the MP for Yendi was the fact that, he lost one of his twin daughters at the hospital way back in 2005, as a result of lack of proper health care delivery at the Yendi Municipal hospital. The Mission:318 through its President, Jonathan N. Limpert stated that, it has a long-term commitment to revitalise health care, Education and among others in the Yendi city. Over 600 surgical procedures performed so far, built first ICU, virtual ICU (Mercy virtual), and we have provided resources including Anesthesia machines, beds, L&D equipment and so on, he added.
Also, Medical Superintendent of the Yendi Hospital, Dr. Ayuba S. Abdulai joined Rev. Emmanuel Mustapha to share similar sentiments on the deficit Medical Human Resources at the hospital. He stated that, the Yendi hospital has a highly limited number of critical staff, lack of ultramodern equipment especially at the maternity ward, which leads to loosing lots of lives. He commended Mission:318 for honouring their invitation to boost health care delivery in the Yendi Municipality.
